Animal Health Perth Warehouse Sweeper Investment

Client introduction

Animal Health Solutions is based in Canning Vale, WA.

They are a local WA company that supports the huge range of pet products to the specialty retailers, including vets, rural and produce stores.

They have been providing this service for over 30 years.

Animal Health Solutions have a large and very busy logistics side, plus the warehousing of many types of animal health items.

The Challenge

Brent, the Operations Manager, had used a contract sweeping company to visit the site, on a scheduled sweeping arrangement.

This meant moving an incredible amount of stock each time, to allow the sweeper to get through the aisles and dispatch area, and then returning it.

This was a labour-intensive project.

Brent needed a better solution, a solution that could see a sweeper on site 100% of the time, also to be used for periodic cleaning and for emergency sweeping, when product was damaged and needed removal. Such as dog food/biscuits and hay, so it did not spread all over the site.

In addition, there was the age-old problem of forklift trye dust that every warehouse has to deal with.

The Solution

Brent researched warehouse sweepers online and found ASC was based locally. He contacted ASC’s WA Area Manager, Ross Sheehan, for some information on sweepers.

Brent was sceptical to how much of an advantage it would be to own a new sweeper, especially if the staff would not use it.

Ross was able to present a new and ex-fleet option to Brent.

The Result

An onsite demonstration proved how well the machine collected all the dog biscuits on the ground.

It was easy to manoeuvre at the end of aisles and proved that it was very easy to use.
