The Client

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is the Australian Government agency responsible for supporting and investing in sport at all levels.

The ASC was established in 1985. The AIS’s role is to increase involvement in sport and enable continued international sporting success through leadership and development of the sports sector, targeted financial support and the operation of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).

The Facility is based in Canberra on a multi hectare site.

The Challenge

The AIS were looking to replace a sweeper that they had on their books for several years.

The sweeper was required to sweep clean the huge network of roadways and kerbs. The roads are very wide and have copious amounts of gum leaves and stones to sweep up. The sweeper would be required to work for up to 8 hours per day.

The AIS contacted ASC’s Scott Campbell who recommended the ASC Eureka M8 street sweeper as the best machine to fit their sweeping requirements.

The Result

Following a successful demonstration, the AIS gave Scott Campbell an order for an ASC M8 air conditioned cabin, diesel powered sweeper.
