Bell Bay Aluminum (Rio Tinto) ASC M40

The Client

Bell Bay Aluminium is situated on the Tamar River, approximately five kilometres from George Town and 45 kilometres from Launceston.

The smelter produces around 190,000 of aluminium each year and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

The Challenge

The company requested another ASC sweeper for its pot line sweeping operations.

ASC has been supplying the group sweepers for more than 20 years.

The material being picked up is very dusty alumina and carbon. There are also spills of molten aluminium that require sweeping.

A check was conducted for elecromagnetic compatibility which the machine passed due to its low usage of electronics.

The Result.

The company purchased its first ASC Macro M40.
