Bengalla Mine

The Client
Bengalla Mining Company, located four kilometres south west of Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, supplies international markets with thermal coal.
The Challenge
Bengalla Mine just opened up a new tyre change facility, that repairs their tyre needs for their fleet of mobile earthmovers.
The new workshop is a large facility that can house many earthmovers.
The challenge for the company was to find a machine that was manoeuvrable enough to sweep clean, 97% of the workshop.
It had to be capable of sweeping up coal dust and leave the floor clean, without any dust discharge.
The Result
As a long-term ASC client, Bengalla mine, which is part of the New Hope Group, decided to stick with the ASC brand and invested in a heavy duty ASC Eureka M3 battery electric sweeper.
The machine was fitted with a Mine Spec option, which included dual isolators, convoluted wiring, fire extinguisher, remote charge plug and a squeaker.
