Boulia Shire Council’s Outback Dessert Sweeper ASC M8

The Client

The Shire of Boulia is a local government area in Central West Queensland, bordering the Northern Territory.

The township has a population of 485 and is a township that attracts people from all over the world.

The Challenge

The Boulia Council had been wanting a sweeper for many years. The township is based in the desert. The roads are full of gravel and red dust.

The sweeper, when working, needs to pick up tonnes of rock and dirt, in order to keep the roads and gutters clean.

The ASC Eureka M8 was the perfect choice for the council, as the machine is a large capacity sweeper, with minimal moving parts.

This means that the machine can be easily serviced by their workshop and most parts on the machine are locally available.

The Result

The ASC Eureka M8 was ordered and delivered to the council by ASC. ASC’s Nick Bilos was present to train the operators on how to use the machine.
