Boyne Smelter (Rio Tinto ) Invests Again

The Client
Boyne Smelters (Rio Tinto) is located on Boyne Island, Queensland, Australia and activities include manufacturing carbon anodes in the carbon plant, aluminium production (smelting) in reduction lines, and casting of molten metal into aluminium products.
The Challenge
The challenge was to find a machine that could sweep the large external grounds of the site.
Having already run an existing ASC Eureka M8 sweeper for the past 18 months the choice was made easy as the company was happy with the Eureka product and its performance.
The choice Boyne Smelter had to make was a choice was to either invest in a ASC Street Sweeper or the highly successful ASC Eureka M8.
When the numbers were analysed the investment in the ASC Eureka M8 showed higher productivity per hour used and substantially lower running costs which made the invest relatively simple to justify.
The new ASC M8 sweeper is only 43% of the cost of a conventional street sweeper.
The Solution.
The ASC Eureka M8 was ordered.
