Calleja Group
The Client
From humble beginnings as a one-truck waste transport business in 1950, the family-run Calleja Group has today evolved as a big group in Melbourne’s waste and transport sector.
The company operates two transfer stations in Melbourne, one of them located at Newlands Road, Coburg North.
The Challenge
The Calleja Groups Coburg Transfer waste based in Coburg, is a large facility that separates industrial waste into timber, concrete, bricks, cardboard, metals and green waste using manual and magnetic separation.
The company had a need to run an effective waster transfer compliant sweeper that did not blow dust and was industrial enough to cope with heavy weight debris like rocks, off cuts of steel and very fine dust.
The Calleja Group turned to ASC’s Giovanni Angelone to recommend an appropriate ASC heavy duty sweeper.
Giovanni recommended the ASC M6, which is widely used in the waste and concrete industry, as the group’s best choice.
The Result
The Calleja Group invested in the ASC M6.
ASC’s Giovanni Angelone delivered the machine to site, with a proper handover taking place.
