Days Eggs – Lower Light SA

The Client

Days Eggs is based in the suburb of Lower Light, South Australia.

Days Eggs is SA’s largest producer and distributor of fresh eggs.

Through different produce brands, they provide the SA Market and interstate customers with premium, quality barn-laid and free range eggs.

In their large sorting and packing facility, they employ some 90 people, who are able by using latest technology, to UV sanitise, wash and grade some 126,000 eggs per hour.

The Challenge

Manager, Peter Palanca, had a challenge on his hands.

He needed a scrubber-dryer machine for a daily floor wash in the packing and sorting areas.

The machine needed to be reliable for everyday use and also manoeuvrable enough to reach around packing lines.

This is a large operation and apart from solid performance, the machine also needed to ensure extended running time to ensure good time management and increase labour efficiency.

The Solution

Days Eggs invested in an ASC EUREKA E 81 large capacity walk behind, heavy duty scrubber-dryer.

ASC’s Adelaide based Luke Skrinjaric commissioned and delivered the machine to site.
