The George Fisher Mine Keeps Its Maintenance Workshop Clean With ASC 110 Scrubber
The George Fisher mine is one of the largest zinc, lead & silver mines in Australia and in the world. The mine is located 20 km north of Mount Isa in North West Queensland. The mine has estimated reserves of 150.4 million oz of silver. The mine was discovered way back in 1947 and originally named Hamilton.
It was later to become known as the George Fisher Mine when it was acquired by global mining company Xstrata now part of the giant Glencore Xstrata mining company.
Running an underground mine requires a lot of specialized machinery and expert personnel to keep the mine running.
Seen here is our ASC Eureka 110 scrubber/sweeper that keeps their massive maintenance workshop clean. The workshop runs 24/7 and its floor must be kept clean in order to meet the stringent safety benchmarks set by Xtrata.
