New Horizons (NSW) and its new clean warehouse

Introduction

New Horizons facility in North Ryde imports various wellbeing goods. It is one of Australia’s most trusted non-profit companies supporting and employing thousands of vulnerable and underprivileged people.

The Challenge

The challenge they faced in their NSW warehouse was that of debris and dust. The constant foot traffic, pallet jacks & forklifts movement across the warehouse spread debris like leaves, rocks, cardboard, and screws on the warehouse floor. This debris presented a debris hazard for the employees, and hence the company wanted to address it using state-of-the-art equipment.

As the company recognised the need to change its practices to create a dust-free environment for its employees to work in, they consulted ASC for this issue.

Previously, they used push brooms, which simply created too much airborne dust. Besides, they also had a large elevated dock that needed to be cleaned.

The Solution

After carefully analysing New Horizons safety requirements, ASC’s NSW Area Manager Scott Campbell recommended and demonstrated the entry-level ASC MEP push sweeper with dust control.

Their team got shocked with the outstanding performance of the MEP as it cleaned their warehouse quickly and was extremely user-friendly.

They wanted to get their hands on an ASC MEP as soon as possible! As ASC has stocked these, so it didn’t cause any trouble to deliver them one ASAP.

On the delivery day, they were very pleased; everyone had a sweep! A fantastic result for the company and all their staff. A small investment for such a massive improvement.
