The Client

REMONDIS Northgate Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) is located at Northgate, 14 kms north of Brisbane’s CBD.

They have a waste water treatment facility on site, plus a large depot that caters for their logistics and industrial services vehicles.

Today, REMONDIS Australia has grown and diversified to become one of the largest waste and recycling companies in the country.

The Challenge

Remondis Northgate had been using an ASC model M6 diesel sweeper, successfully, for the past 10 years.

They undertook a project to upgrade the smaller ASC M6 with a larger capacity sweeper (street sweeper) to maximise labour productivity.

Their neighbouring Remondis site at Rocklea (Brisbane) purchased an ASC M8 sweeper last year and it had proven to be a game changer in their waste operation.

Given the inbuilt performance of ASC’s M8 sweeper to compact bulky debris, the ASC M8 was an easy choice to make.

The unit offered a water misting system to mitigate airborne dust and a patented easy drive over speed humps, to allow easy clearance of bunded areas.

The ASC M8 was optioned up with an extendable side broom arm brush to clean flush against gutters and walls.

An enclosed air-conditioned cabin fitted with a HEPA filter made for more comfortable driving, which not only protected their operators from neighbouring dust, but allowed for 24/7 sweeping use in both hot, cold and wet weather.

The Result

Robert from Remondis placed an order for an ASC M8 diesel powered sweeper.

ASC’s Nathaniel Prasad delivered and commissioned the ASC M8 to site, in Remondis white colour.
