Sims Metal Alexandria upgrades to 2021 ASC M6

The Client

Sims Metal is a business division of Sims Limited. A world leading publicly listed metal recycler, their operations encompass the buying, processing and selling of ferrous and non-ferrous recycled metals.

The Challenge

After using the ASC M6 Diesel for almost 12 years, the Group decided to replace their old ASC M6 Diesel sweeper with a new one.

Working in a scrap metal facility is quite challenging as the materials size can vary from a 2 mm piece of tin to an oversized piece of steel.

ASC’s Scott Campbell worked with the group to assess their site sweeping needs and recommended a replacement Heavy Duty ASC M6 “Steel Grade” sweeper that is designed for the heavy end of the Industrial market.

The machine was fitted with oversized steel boulder protection on the front hopper as well as a unique dust suppression system to meet Sims environmental needs.

The Result.

A new ASC M6 was delivered by Scott Campbell.
