The Client

Sims Metal Australia is a scrap metal processor.

Sims Metal has grown to be the leading collector, processor and supplier of recycled metal in Australia.

The Challenge

Sims Metal Northgate Qld is a very large operation that collects and processes Brisbane’s scrap metal. The site is a multi-acre site that requires daily sweeping.

The site required a sweeper that was designed to work in the steel environment.

The machine was being purchased to replace a road sweeper as well as a warehouse sweeper, that Sims had purchased a few years ago.

Sims sought the expertise of ASC’s Scott Campbell to guide them on investing in a machine that was fit for purpose.

Scott suggested the ASC M8 road sweeper, as the machine had proven itself on many scrap metal yards in Australia to date, including another Sims site.

The Result

An order was placed for an ASC M8 for the site.
