Smart Resources Cost Effective ASC M8 Solution

The Client

Smart Recycling and Smart Pallets operate from a 35-acre, family-run recycling depot in Dandenong South.

The businesses are owned by Mr Ward Petherbridge.

The company runs four businesses, that divert over 50,000 tonnes of waste from landfill, annually.

The site transforms 95% of waste received into useful, cost-effective, environmentally friendly products and provides a net carbon benefit of 14,500 tonnes from timber recycling alone.

The Challenge

The company has an endless array of trucks entering the premises to drop waste off. Debris and dust are a constant battle.

More and more of the yards are being concreted. The site was looking for a cost-effective, long-term sweeper solution, to eliminate airborne dust.

The company’s Managing Director, Mr Ward Petherbridge, asked ASC for a demonstration of the heavy duty, ASC Eureka M8. This was trialled in both the production facility, cleaning up pallet dust, as well as the weighbridge section of the plant.

The machine did a great job with both pick up of debris and dust control.

The Result

The company chose to invest in an ASC Eureka M8 Diesel sweeper, open cab machine.

They also added the optional extendable 3rd side broom, so that they could sweep very close to walls and gutters.
