The Mighty ASC M8 Arrives At Aurizon Port Services Townsville

The Client

Aurizon Port Services is based in Townsville North Queensland.

The company has a strong reputation as one of North Queensland’s most trusted providers of stevedoring, transport and warehousing solutions.

Based at the Port of Townsville, Aurizon Port Services offers tailored end-to-end supply chain management services throughout North Queensland.

The Challenge

Running a Port faces many challenges. Swirling winds, dust and debris build up and constantly moving mobile plant 24 /7, leaves the grounds in need of hourly sweeping.

The Port had an ongoing debris problem both sweeping large storage sheds, open concreted yard areas and roadways.

The Solution

ASC’s Townsville representative Luke Skrinjaric consulted the company about a fit for purpose new sweeper.

They had used a competitive model previously that was less than 12 months old. It had never worked since the day it arrived.

This created many frustrations for the management of the company.

A Port facility that is not dust free and clean creates serious Environmental and occupational problems.

The Result

Aurizon chose to invest in the ASC M8 sweeper as the solution to their Port sweeping problems.

The machine was optioned with a cabin and air conditioner so that it could be used day or night in both wet or dry conditions.

All the Aurizon operators were quite excited by the arrival of the new ASC M8 diesel powered sweeper, which was installed by Luke Skrinjaric.
