The Client

Zerella Fresh is one of the leading suppliers and packers of potatoes, onions and carrots in Australia. They have been in the Potato, Carrot, Onion and Pumpkin business in South Australia since 1936. They grow, package & distribute across Australia.

The Challenge.

The Zerella packaging facility in Virginia (SA) is a very large concern. Truck & tractor deliveries are constant with deliveries of fresh produce coming in from the fields to be packaged in their huge sheds. Farm dirt, tyre marks, water and dust and common in packaging sheds. Managers of these packaging sheds have a dilemma when it comes to cleaning; either spend hundreds of hours cleaning with small manual equipment or mechanise this task with high capacity industrial sweepers.

Zerella Management went to market recently to invest in an industrial sweeper. While they spent copious hours trialling many machines in different price points & sizes, they chose the ASC Eureka M6 for their huge facility in Virginia.

The company liked the speed at which the ASC M6 sweeper swept, its capacity to store dust and outstanding dust control. They were also aware of the products reliability as they knew of several companies in their industry using ASC equipment.

The Solution.

A decision was made to purchase the machine outright. While they deliberated between a Battey and LPG version, they chose the LPG M6 variant as they expected to use the machine 12 to 14 hours per day both indoor and out.

ASC’s South Australia representative Ken Pepyat liaised with the Zerella Group to ensure a smooth handover.
