Zerella Fresh Adelaide Invests With ASC M6
Client Introduction
Zerella Fresh is one of the leading suppliers and packers of potatoes, onions and carrots in Australia. They have been in the Potato, Carrot, Onion and Pumpkin business in South Australia since 1936. They grow, package and distribute across Australia.
The Challenge
The Zerella packaging facility in Virginia (SA) is a very large company covering a huge area. Truck and tractor deliveries are constant. Continuous deliveries of fresh produce come in from the fields to be packaged in their huge sheds. Farm dirt, tyre marks, water, and dust, are very common in packaging sheds. Managers of these packaging sheds have a dilemma when it comes to cleaning, whether they spend hundreds of hours cleaning with small manual equipment or mechanize this task with high capacity industrial sweepers. Zerella Management went to the market to invest in an industrial sweeper. They spent many hours trialing different machines on the market according to their needs and budget; they chose the ASC Eureka M6 for their huge facility in Virginia. They chose the sweeper due to its amazing speed, capacity to store dust, and outstanding dust control. They were already impressed with the reliability of ASC equipment as it was being used by many companies in their industry.
The Solution
They decided to purchase the machine outright. While they deliberated between a Battery and LPG version, they chose the LPG M6 variant as they expected to use the machine 12 to 14 hours per day, both indoor and outdoor. ASC’s South Australia representative Ken Pepyat liaised with the Zerella Group to ensure a smooth handover.
